Warren County....Boys Softball Capitol of the World!

( I know the REAL Title is Nursery Capitol of the Word....but to me it's the  Boys Softball Capitol of the World! )

Warren County  is home to three of the largest boys softball leagues in Tennessee   Midway-Centertown-Morrison

Located near the Cumberland Plateau in Eastern Middle  Tennessee Warren County is know for it's fine Nursery Businesses. They raise beautiful nursery stock here...they also raise a good stock of boys softball players each year. The leagues in Warren County have the largest number of boys playing slow pitch softball edging out Wilson County. While the numbers are large so is the quality and devotion to the game among the Warren County boys, many of them continue to play the game after their youth years and play it very well. Softball tournaments are a tradition in Warren County and I'm glad to be part of that tradition

It was late when the picture was taken and I apoligize for the quality. The "Sharpie" Gang  from Warren County love

the game of softball so much, on this weekend they were playing at the Fairgrounds at McMinnville as well as playing in the Boys World Series at Cookeville, driving back and forth about 50 miles  one way between fields.

I remember my first big tournament as a coach was at the Fairgrounds in 1992, I still like to hold tournaments there when I can because of the love the boys there have for tournament softball. .......Thanks Warren County!
