Strawberry Plains...."The Beast from the EAST!"

Located in Eastern Knox County this area has produced some of the finest boys softball teams I've ever seen.  Carter High School

is located here, the boys from "Straw Plains" play the game and play it very well! Lanny Arms and the Dox Sox were familiar foes for me and my Sports World/Team Tennessee guys. John Clift with the Spirit has played boys tournaments with good success since the now 19u guys were 12u. I remember seeing them in 1998

in Cookeville, and have watched them grow.  Thanks to "Big Rog"

Roger Wilson, who I first met in 1993 when he coached the Apple Computer team in Jasper at the ASA State held there. These and other men such as Tim Laycock have been regulars at boys tourneys with teams from the Strawberry Plains area.
